Formula 1 2010

Basketball, Formula 1 or Rugby. Football is not everything.

I don't think Merc will win it this year, I think Brawn and Schumi have admitted for at least the first few races they'll be off the pace. Red Bull are similar, I don't think they've advanced on their car too much, I think the reliability will cost them.

Ferrari v McLaren I think will be a title challenger. But I can see 5 teams winning at least 1 race.

yeah schumi and brawn told that already. in my opinion just to lower the expectations. on the one side they can say when they win "oh we did not expect that" and medias celebrate them as heros, on the other side when they failure in the first races: "we told it already"...so it was a clever tactical sentence.
but we never know what happens. im really excited :)

what do you think about the new points system?

1.: 25 points
2.: 18
3.: 15
4.: 12
5.: 10
6.: 8
7.: 6
8.: 4
9.: 2
10.: 1

its good that more drivers get points now because there are more drivers. BUT 24 points difference between rank 1 and 10? that makes no sense, when you are a title candidate and fetch this one point, it doesnt really help you.
the old system was better...we had great seasons...why do they change that.

are there maybe other race series with such a system?

MotoGP as far as I'm aware. Its not that bad, its basically the same difference between each score but it allows more teams to get points and is more of an incentive to win a race since its a larger margin to 2nd.

yes thats right, now a victory means much more than before.
but when a team has sth like a winning serie for some races they have automaticilly many many points, thats a bit weird. on the other side the teams and drivers should be motivated to fight for rank 1 instead of being happy with rank 2.

just 3 days!

I tried to keep any bias out of (apart from Sauber), so its all fair really.

As for F4F blog, nah, leave that for the football.

Merc look good, but Schumi 0.5 down to Rosberg in both sessions. Thoughts?

well those training sessions arent very important for us. especially the results. we never know how much fuel the drivers use, for example. the drivers often try things and change them after the sessions. i think after the quali we will know more :)

Number 7 for Schumacher :D Yeah! When he had his debut in the Formula 1 in Belgium back then he started from the 7th place aswell! Awesome, considering the fact that he was out of it for some years. I think he needs more time, but he will be back soon!

FANTASTIC by Vettel! Amazing and I am proud. Rosberg did well aswell, he could have done better, I think. And what is even better is the comeback of Massa. Holy shit. Thinking about his bad bad accident and now he just gets back into the car and gets in really good. And (even more important!) he is better than that little fuckwit Alonso.
Looking forward for this race :D
