AHAHAHAHA! I was thinking of you when I saw him coming off the bench and then scoring twice! well who knows? Maybe he heard you? ;) Well done anyway. Not that I thought you would lose, but turning a game is always an effort. And then having Gerrard as a captain does not make stuff easier.

See, Rooney awesome for the club, not quite as awesome for the NT... while Crouch... :w:

Still it was goal  I guess Ryan would be happy if he would score an offside goal for Spurs at all ;)

Crouch indeed was great. Rooney had a few chances and he looked very good to me.
Was ist just me or did Terry look a bit unhappy? He did make some mistakes, more than usual already... tbh, after watching that match I feel even more better with him not being captain anymore.
3-1 very good result.

I'm happy that we won, although I feel that 3-1 flatters us a bit. Egypt played an outstanding first half, they were all over us. The improvements came once Lampard and Walcott were taken off, which interested me. I don't think that Walcott is ready for a world cup yet. Not when we have the likes of James Milner, Aaron Lennon and Shaun Wright Phillips.

I didn't watch the game, but he probably did look unhappy. I suppose anyone would be if they had the national armband taken away from them, however it was deserved, therefore rather than sulking he should be putting in performances to prove everyone wrong.

Most likely, Beckham is out of the World Cup, after tearing his Achilles tendon in a match against Chievo :( Unlucky.

They say he will be out for 5-6 months :(

I feel really sad for him. 6-8 weeks he will wear that stuff around his foot and I doubt that Capello will give him a chance now, which sucks. I would have loved to see Beckham at the WC. Would have been his 4th WC and that is something not every player can say about himself.
Its also a terrible injury and as far as I read it happened without any touch of the opponent. :( It sucks. I hope he gets well really soon.

That way Capello does not have to deal with the "nominate him yes or no."

Rumours are surfacing that West Ham are trying to get Beckham to sign after he recovers from his injury. In interviews he has hinted as coming back to England to finish his career, and they are willing to be that club.
